Morrisby Profile Privacy Policy

What is the purpose of our Privacy Policy?

The Morrisby Profile website is an integrated online careers education and guidance system developed by The Morrisby Organisation.

The site provides individuals with access to an online version of their personal Morrisby Guidance Report, additional information on careers, educational choices, and other information resources pertinent to careers and educational guidance. Whenever you disclose any information that is personal to you (Personal Information), we will treat that information in accordance with this policy. We aim to meet the standards of best internet practice and will act in accordance with current applicable legislation.

This Policy explains how we use and protect your Personal Information.

This Policy only applies to the Morrisby Profile website and does not include any third party website linked to Morrisby Profile. Users should carefully examine the privacy statements of sites linking to or from Morrisby Profile. Any Personal Information that you choose to provide to other sites will be subject to the Privacy Policies of those websites.

Registration

In order to access the Morrisby Profile website the user registers by providing a unique Report Code which is printed on the cover of their personal Morrisby Guidance Report, as well as their date of birth as an additional security measure. The system will check that the report code and date of birth input match those contained by us before allowing the user to continue. Users must then provide an e-mail address and password which they will then use as their personal login.

The site is password protected and the registration information is only used to identify and authenticate the user when they access the website. This helps protect user details from unauthorised access.

Access to your Personal Information

In addition to the Morrisby Organisation, only relevant, approved advisers at your centre of education, such as a school Careers Adviser will have access to your information and Morrisby Profile results.

If you prefer to remain completely private so that Advisers cannot access personal information on the Morrisby Profile system, you will need to write to support@morrisby.com quoting your report code and your record will be removed from the system. You can also select (in Settings) whether you wish to share information contained in your Personal Planner with your adviser.

Aggregate Information

"Aggregate Information" is information that we might collect about a group or category of users which does not include anything that links the information to particular individuals. Aggregate information helps us to develop the site in line with user preferences. It also enables to carry out research and statistical analyses such as the standardisation and validation of the questionnaires and algorithms used in the site. Morrisby Profile may also collect non-personally identifiable information in order to carry out statistical analyses such as relative popularity of careers, qualifications and interests. These analyses may be used for product development purposes.

Morrisby Profile may utilise cookies to recognise users and to increase the efficiency of your interactions with the website. If your computer is unable to accept cookies, the system will not operate so efficiently and some feature may not be available. Cookies in themselves do not personally identify users, although they do identify a user's computer. The site also records the IP addresses for administration and troubleshooting purposes. These IP addresses are not linked to any personal information stored by The Morrisby Organisation, although the IP number may constitute personal information in itself.
